It's that time of year again to let Mr. Perry know how his fans all feel on the eve of his birthday, so head over to the birthday post section of the forum and leave a greeting. You'll have to be a member, so sign up and I guarantee you just might make a friend or two and find yourself coming back often for good conversation. Okay, entertaining conversation, anyway.

After years of "nagging", as he puts it, Andrew McNeice has finally landed his dream interview with Steve Perry. And of course, I'm jealous. He posted it today over at melodicrock.com, the website he founded in 1996. It's a great interview and a treat for all Steve Perry fans and I thank Andrew for his persistence. Check it out here.

Just as the folks at Fan Asylum promised, Steve has chosen the day before his birthday to answer a random selection of fan-submitted questions; 67 in all. (And I'm number 50!)
From the official Fan Asylum website:

Dear Faithful fans,

Just a small note to thank you for all the Questions ..........All the questions that were sent in were placed in a fish bowl and were drawn at random.
Of the questions I answered, I will place your names into a hat and I will draw 3. Those 3 will later receive a personalized gift from me ............ In addition to the great questions, thanks for all the wonderful messages of love and support. Thanks again..........

Love ............

Steve Perry

Go to the Fan Asylum website now to check out the Steve Perry Q&A.

Steve Perry Fan Q&A
As they did several years ago, the folks over at Fan Asylum will be taking questions from Steve's fans over the next couple of weeks for Steve to respond to sometime in January, probably very near his birthday. The details can all be found here. Get those questions in and let's see what Steve has to say!

Here's a nice, short interview video with Steve Perry after the Giants' World Series win. Steve's not lookin' too bad for a man in his 60's. Or 30's, if you ask him.

October 30, 2010

Good Lord, I have never paid as much attention to a World Series as I have to this one... Now we even have video of Steve singing along to Lights during the 6th inning of game 2. This is the closest thing I've witnessed to a Steve Perry concert since 1994.

A San Francisco TV station's website has a small article on Steve's newfound popularity here. It may be innacurate to report Steve had been invited to the World Series games as many people have pointed out he is a season ticket holder.

The Steve Perry-related links at the bottom of this page were updated to include Journey tribute band Arrival. Check 'em out...

The New York Post ran this article mentioning Steve Perry's presence at the games.

October 27, 2010

Rather unannounced, Steve gave this interview today on San Francisco's KNBR. Giants fever continues...

October 22, 2010

Definitely one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time- so glad somebody got it on video. Check out Steve singing out loud to his own song along with 43,000 other fans. The YouTube link is here. (You'll see Steve starting at the 45 second mark.) And more here... it's great to hear the crowd react as Steve is identified on the jumbotron.

It may not be considered "news" or even noteworthy, but it's really nice to see Steve doing anything- out in public and looking happy and healthy. Okay, and here. And this one is really close up.

October 6, 2010

KNBR Sports Radio, the official radio station of the San Francisco Giants, is interviewing Steve Perry on-air live, Friday October 8th at 8:00AM Pacific Time. As posted on Fan Asylum, you can "hear Steve's thoughts on his favorite team and their chances to go all the way to the World Series."

As always, if you would like to know more about this topic, please head over to the All Things Steve Perry Forum, where you can read all about Steve's interest in the Giants here and here, among other posts.

August 3, 2010

All Things Steve Perry has had a slight makeover and sadly that is the only confirmed bit of news to report in the last 10 months. The unconfirmed is much more interesting however, as there have been very many allegations and reports of a certain Mr. Perry going back into the studio to work on what may be an album of all-new music.

This is why I've had nothing new to add to the site in such a long time; Steve Perry is a very private individual and while the gossiping may be non-stop about his current endeavors, I've always tried to avoid going the tabloid route. Yeah, it would be way more entertaining, but I'd rather post nothing then half-truths and hearsay. And I think Steve can feel me on that one. Holla atcha boy, Steve!

January 27, 2008

As he does at this time each year, Steve Perry has left a message to his fans over at Fan Asylum. I'll include just a snippet, but encourage everyone to read the entire post here. He ends his message with this:

It was brought to my attention that there have been many nice {and some Sexy Nice} birthday messages posted for me on various sites. There were so many that they could not all be read to me but please know this.............I appreciate them and thank you all. I wish you and yours all of the very best of everything in the New Year.
